Varun Varma is a vice president on First Eagle Alternative Credit’s Tradable Credit team, supporting senior credit analysts in conducting fundamental research and developing investment ideas. Varun became part of First Eagle in 2020 upon the firm’s acquisition of THL Credit, which he had joined in 2017. Previously, he worked as an investment analyst in the public market investments group at GCM Grosvenor. Varun earned a BS in business administration with majors in finance, accounting and economics from Marquette University, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
