Ewan Labrom is senior managing director of alternatives business development for institutional clients. He became part of First Eagle in 2022 upon the firm’s acquisition of Napier Park Global Capital. Napier Park separated from Citigroup’s alternative investment arm, Citi Capital Advisors, in 2013. Prior to joining Citi Capital Advisors in May 2009, Ewan spent over 20 years at Morgan Stanley where he was most recently head of UK structured credit sales, focusing on CDOs, ABS, managed funds and real estate loans as well as bank regulatory capital release. He also  established fixed income coverage of UK insurance companies and pension funds and developed the euro-sterling franchise, placement of the inaugural long-dated, fixed rate sterling securitizations and hedging insurance companies' annuity liabilities. Ewan also marketed all fixed income products, including cash rates, derivatives, emerging market debt and high yield to institutional fund managers, and was a yen product specialist and key to the firm attaining Gilt-Edged Market Making status. He joined Morgan Stanley in corporate coverage and began his career at Midland Bank as a credit analyst. Ewan earned a BS in banking and finance from Loughborough University and an MBA with distinction from London Business School.
